Strike First Guardian™ App
SMS Opt-In
Strike First Guardian is a personal safety app. It sends transactional safety alert texts to the emergency contacts a user adds, for example when the user starts a Walk Me Home trip, misses a check-in, or sends an "I need help" alert. No marketing or promotional messages are ever sent.
How contacts opt in
A signed-in user adds an emergency contact's name and phone number in the iOS app, either during onboarding or on the SOS tab. Before the contact can be saved, the user must tick a required checkbox confirming the contact agreed to receive these texts. The contact cannot be saved unless the box is checked. The checkbox reads:
"This contact has agreed to get safety alert texts from Strike First Guardian about me. Msg & data rates may apply. They can reply STOP to opt out."
When several contacts are saved at once, it reads "These contacts have agreed…" with the same wording.
What contacts receive
- Messages: safety alerts about the user who added them (walk started, missed check-in, help request, arrived safely). Every message names Strike First Guardian.
- Frequency: varies with how the user uses the app.
- Rates: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email strikefirstfitness@gmail.com.
- Privacy: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
